What happens if I pay more than the amount that is due?

Lender: Hatch Bank
If your lender is Hatch Bank, manage your account with Wisetack.
If you pay more than the amount that is due, and you have a past due balance, the extra amount (or overpayment) goes toward any past due loan balance. If your loan is current, the extra amount is applied toward the loan principal.
Overpayments can help:
- Reduce the number of future scheduled payments.
- Lead to a smaller final payment.
- Save on interest that hasn't accrued yet.
